Calgary's only bathhouse
It may not be the nicest of bathhouses, but if you find yourself with a hankering in Calgary, it is your only option.

Went there for Stampede. Don't let the reviews about other undesirable clientele turn you off. There were some very good looking dudes, younger than I and I got lucky a few times. (Maybe thats just during Stampede?) It was slow during the day so I went to the pub for a few drinks. The bartender kept us laughing and alot of shooters were bought by random people I had just met. You can sit at the bar and watch the entrance so you see when your "type," is checking in the bathouse. HOWEVER, I don't think they've spent a dime on bathouse repairs in 30 years. The staff clearly have lost interest as they're just rude and couldn't be bothered to lookup from reading their phone to answer a question. The urinal absolutely stank and I know for a fact that's just a simple matter of housekeeping. Its cheaper than Winnipeg and Edmonton but you get what you pay for I guess as the place is falling apart. Bottom line: Yes its a little disagreeable and dank. Yet, it served its purpose and i ended up having a great time after a few drinks helped me overlook certain details.

Went here as a tourist and visited 3x last summer. Typical older/aging but clean decent enough place. If it was in Montreal Village, would be run out of business in a month - but it's not! so keep an open mind! :) Wide range of older and younger guys cruising this small but adequate space on wknds and guys are generally friendly and approachable. Doesn't get busy til latenight. Big plus is the connecting bar - slip on your jeans go over have a beer check out the bar crowd...easy to strike up conversations. Bath house staff was ok, just do their jobs, bar staff on the other hand was brilliant - super friendly, always had my name and drink brand remembered every visit and not because I'm a stud LOL. If you're visiting Calgary, might as well go on over and check it out.
